A huge potential market for refurbished computers
17 April 2020
Today, “refurbished” products are attracting more and more consumers. The global refurbished market is estimated to be worth over 50 billion euros. It is expected to grow significantly in the coming years. According to a study by Omnibus YouGov (an international market research company), after smartphones, which hold the number one spot in the refurbished market, computers are in second place on the podium of products most favoured by consumers (with 20%). It is therefore time to choose refurbished PCs!
Don’t get confused – second-hand vs refurbished
A second-hand computer is a used computer that is no longer considered a “new” product.
A refurbished computer is a used PC that has been refurbished.
At Itancia Again, the appliances, once collected, are sorted and tested, repaired if necessary, and refurbished before being put on sale.
We check out 25 points on each PC (test bench, connectors, keyboard, screens, data erasure, etc.).
Moreover, all our products are guaranteed from 6 months to 1 year (extension available and customisation of your configuration).
What are the benefits of buying a refurbished computer?
Its price
Equipping a company with a computer (when it is set up, when equipment is replaced or when staff move, etc.) can be very expensive.
This is why more and more companies are opting for refurbished products. It allows you to stay at the cutting edge of technology by paying up to 50% less for a device than a new one.
An eco-responsible approach
What is behind the digital, which has become indispensable and obvious to use? What is certain is that there is nothing immaterial about it and that its environmental impacts are very real! (Source: ADEME)
It is therefore a necessity to limit the greenhouse gas emissions generated by digital technology. Refurbishment is an ideal solution because it increases the equipment’s life cycle, limits the consumption of energy and raw materials (compared to the manufacture of new equipment).
